30th Celebration Mini Tins Price: $9.99 at Retail Undercuts $22.32 of Packs, I Am Buying

Ten sealed 30th Celebration Mini Tins in five Day and five Night designs beside two 30th Celebration booster packs

30th Celebration Mini Tins price: $9.99 at retail while the two packs inside sell for $22.32 on TCGplayer. My call: BUY at $9.99, never above.

TWO 30TH CELEBRATION PACKS SELL FOR $22.32 AND THE 30TH CELEBRATION MINI TIN THAT HOLDS THEM COSTS $9.99

TL;DR: BUY the 30th Celebration Mini Tins at the $9.99 retail price, and only there. Each tin holds two booster packs that sell for $22.32 together on TCGplayer. Pass on every copy above $9.99. Prices observed October 25, 2026.

The Numbers Behind This Call

  • 30th Celebration Mini Tin, any of the 10 designs: $9.99 at Best Buy, one per order, styles may vary, read October 25, 2026.
  • 30th Celebration booster pack, loose: $11.16 TCGplayer Market Price on October 25, 2026. Two packs: $22.32. It read $18.07 in the three day window starting September 14, 2026.
  • The 10 tins on TCGplayer, October 25, 2026: from $22.94 for the Moltres tin to $29.09 for the Mew tin, average $25.83.
  • Umbreon tin on TCGplayer: $49.88 Market Price in the presale window starting September 14, 2026, $30.70 across 37 sales in the release window starting October 2, and $27.90 across 12 sales in the window starting October 23.
  • 30th Celebration Mini Tin Display, 10 tins, sealed: $235.46 TCGplayer Market Price on October 25, 2026, which is $23.55 a tin.

The 30th Celebration Mini Tins price at retail is $9.99, and the two packs inside are worth more than double that. Best Buy lists the tins at $9.99, one per order, as of October 25, 2026. On TCGplayer, a loose 30th Celebration booster pack had a Market Price of $11.16 that same day. Each tin holds two of them.

So $9.99 buys $22.32 of packs. That is less than $5 a pack for a pack that sells for $11.16 loose, or 44.8 percent of its own price. The sticker sheet, the art card and the tin itself come along for nothing.

My call is BUY at $9.99 retail and not a penny above it. That has been the house line on this set since September. We said stay away from 30th Celebration product above retail and buy it when you can get it at retail. This is exactly that buy.

What Is Inside Each 30th Celebration Mini Tin

Every tin holds two 30th Celebration booster packs, a sticker sheet, an art card that matches the tin and a Pokemon TCG Live code card. There are 10 designs. Five are Day tins: Espeon, Pikachu, Mew, Lapras and Moltres. Five are Night tins: Umbreon, Pikachu, Mewtwo, Zapdos and Greninja.

The tins came out on October 2, 2026, about two weeks after the set itself released on September 16. Best Buy sells them as styles may vary, so you do not pick your design. That matters less than it sounds. Every design holds the same two packs, and the gap between the best and worst design on TCGplayer was $6.15 on October 25.

The Resale Price Is Falling, Not Rising

The talk going around says the resale market already marked these tins up. It did the opposite. The Umbreon tin sold for $49.48 to $49.92 on TCGplayer in the presale window starting September 14, 2026. It averaged $30.70 across 37 sales in the release window starting October 2 and $27.90 across 12 sales in the window starting October 23.

The Espeon tin tells the same story, $35.37 on October 2 and $25.86 on October 24. The full display of 10 tins went from $355.49 in the window starting September 28 to $235.46 on October 25. Today the 10 tins run $22.94 to $29.09, with an average of $25.83.

What is pulling them down is the packs. A loose 30th Celebration booster pack had a TCGplayer Market Price of $18.07 in the window starting September 14 and $11.16 on October 25. That is down 38.2 percent. I said I was not buying this set yet in my call on the 30th Celebration price collapse, and the slide since then is why retail is the only price that works.

Are 30th Celebration Mini Tins worth buying at $9.99?

Yes. At $9.99 the 30th Celebration Mini Tin is the cheapest way I can find to own packs from this set. You pay less than $5 a pack for packs that sell for $11.16 loose on TCGplayer.

Here is the number nobody else is printing. Resale tins are not a collector premium yet, they are a pack play. On October 25, 2026 the 10 tins averaged $25.83 on TCGplayer, only $3.51 more than the $22.32 of packs inside. Buying at retail skips that whole stack. Packs would have to fall from $11.16 to under $5 before a $9.99 tin stops paying for itself.

The catch is finding them. Pokemon Center restocked the tins at $9.99 on October 15, 2026, and they sold out in about two hours, per restock trackers. Best Buy lists them at $9.99 but caps you at one per order, and I could not confirm the stock on any given day. When you see $9.99, do not hesitate.

The Risk in This Buy

The risk is the pack price, not the tin. A 30th Celebration Mini Tin is only worth what the two packs inside it are worth, and those packs are down 38.2 percent since mid September. More retail waves are reported for November and December, so I do not expect a shortage to bail out anyone paying resale.

That is why the price matters so much. Resale copies on TCGplayer run $22.94 and up. Stay away from them. At $9.99 the pack math covers you. Above it, you are paying a premium for a pack that is still falling.

The 30th Celebration Mini Tins Are a BUY at $9.99 and Not a Penny More

My position on these tins is BUY at the $9.99 retail price, from Best Buy, Pokemon Center or any store selling them at $9.99. Each tin holds two packs worth $22.32 on TCGplayer as of October 25, 2026. I am keeping mine sealed, and opening one is fine too, because at under $5 a pack both ways win.

Two things end the buy. If the retail price moves above $9.99, I stop. If the loose 30th Celebration booster pack closes two straight weeks under $5 on TCGplayer, the pack math is gone and I stop there too. I am not buying a single resale copy. Bring your restock finds to our Facebook page and I will run the math.
