The Umbreon ex Surprise Box promo PSA 10 price has come down hard. This is the Umbreon ex 060/131 with the Prismatic Evolutions logo stamp, the random foil promo packed in the Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box. A PSA 10 copy carried a $500.00 value on PriceCharting in March 2025. One sold for $93.00 on eBay on October 18, 2026.
The box it comes in went the other way. The sealed Surprise Box read $41.42 on TCGplayer in the week of November 17, 2025 and $65.26 in the week of October 19, 2026, up 57.6 percent. The slab lost most of its launch price and the box gained. That is sealed over singles in one product.
My call is WAIT. I am not chasing a PSA 10 here, and if you own one, hold it. A slab at $85 or less gets my money.

Which Card This Is, and Which One It Is Not
Make sure you are really looking at the right card. The Surprise Box came out on February 7, 2025 with four Prismatic Evolutions booster packs, a storage box with four dividers, a code card and one random foil promo with a special logo. That promo is one of nine Eeveelution ex cards, from Eevee ex to Sylveon ex.
The Umbreon in that box is 060/131 with the stamp. It is NOT the Umbreon 161/131 Special Illustration Rare, the set’s chase card, which read $1,207.76 on TCGplayer on October 22, 2026. The unstamped 060/131 from packs is a different listing too. When you search sold prices, check for the stamp in the title.
The PSA 10 Slide, Month by Month
The launch price did not last. PriceCharting’s PSA 10 value went from $500.00 in March 2025 to $247.02 in May 2025, held near $180 to $189 from June to November 2025, then fell to $74.00 in January 2026. That was the bottom. It climbed back to $135.01 by June 2026.
Now it is sliding again. Using the eBay sales on PriceCharting, the median of four sales from July 23 to 30, 2026 was about $139. Twelve August sales had a median of about $125, and ten sales from September 1 to 29 had a median of $123. Every one of those September sales was $105.50 or more.
Then the tape broke under $100. PSA 10 copies sold for $90.00 on September 30, $100.00 on October 13 and $93.00 on October 18, 2026. One sold for $179.35 on October 20, and that single sale is what holds PriceCharting’s $121.94 value up. Three sales is a direction, not a price yet, but it is three in a row under the September low.
Raw Copies Slid With the Whole Set
The raw card tells the same story. The Umbreon ex promo in Near Mint had a TCGplayer weekly Market Price of $27.60 in the week of July 20, 2026 and $18.92 in the week of October 19, down 31.4 percent. It read $18.72 on October 21. A year ago, in the week of October 27, 2025, it was $19.25.
This is not an Umbreon problem. Prismatic Evolutions singles are soft across the board, and I laid out the same slide in my Sylveon ex Special Illustration Rare call. The stamped promo still carries a premium inside its own family. The other eight stamped promos read $5.58 to $8.61 on TCGplayer on October 22, 2026, so Umbreon is more than double the $8.41 average.
Is a PSA 10 Umbreon ex Surprise Box promo a good buy right now?
Not yet. The last three normal PSA 10 sales were $90.00 to $100.00, and the month before was $105.50 and up. Until that tape stops making lower prints, I would not pay $121.94 off a chart value that leans on one $179.35 sale.
Here is what nobody else is printing: the Surprise Box trades at almost exactly what is inside it. Four packs at $14.02 on TCGplayer on October 22, 2026 come to $56.08. Add the $8.41 average promo and you get $64.49, right on the box’s $65.34 Market Price that day. So opening boxes to chase an Umbreon means paying for the packs and taking one shot in nine at the card. A raw copy at $18.72 or a slab under $100 is the cheaper way in, every time.
Grading a Raw Copy Is Not the Play
I would not buy raw copies to grade for profit. PSA 9 copies sold on eBay for $22.50 to $50.00 in October 2026, and most went for $22.50 to $35.00. That is about what a raw copy costs. Any card that misses the 10 loses the whole grading fee plus shipping.
The 10 does not pay enough to cover those misses with any comfort. At $90.00 to $100.00 a slab, after eBay selling fees, the margin on a raw copy bought at $18.72 shrinks fast. Stay away from the grading flip unless you already own the card and want it slabbed for yourself.
The Risk in Waiting
Umbreon demand is the deepest in the hobby. A rebound in the 161/131 chase card or a new Umbreon release could lift every Umbreon card quickly. The October 20 sale at $179.35 says some buyers will still pay up for this slab.
The other risk runs the opposite way. The January 2026 low was $74.00 on PriceCharting, so $85 is an entry and not a floor. The Prismatic Evolutions Surprise Box is also still sitting at content value rather than at a discount, so I am not adding the box as a new buy either. This Umbreon ex call is about the slab, and the slab waits.

It sold for $93.00 on eBay on October 18, 2026, down from a $500.00 PriceCharting value at launch, while the sealed Surprise Box climbed 57.6 percent. The risk I am carrying is a fast turn on a thin tape of about two sales a week. The horizon is months, not years.
Two things end the wait. A PSA 10 at $85 or less buys my first copy. Two straight calendar months of higher eBay PSA 10 sale medians also end it, and if that happens, I buy. Raw copies bought to grade stay an AVOID. Bring your dated comps to our Facebook page and I will run them.
