NO RAW LATIAS & LATIOS GX HAS SOLD FOR $20,000. THE BEST RAW SALE IN A YEAR WAS $5,250
TL;DR: The $20K raw chart is wrong. The best raw Latias & Latios GX 170/181 sale in a year was $5,250 on eBay, October 1, 2026, and TCGplayer’s $4,499.66 screen has no Near Mint sale under it since August. My call: AVOID buying raw. Owners hold. Data as of October 21, 2026.

The Latias Latios GX alt art price is not $20,000 raw, and no raw copy has come close in the past year. A chart going around this week says ungraded Latias & Latios GX, Team Up 170/181, Alternate Full Art, copies top $20K. The best raw sale I can find in the past year is $5,250 on eBay on October 1, 2026. That is about a quarter of the meme.
There is no crash either. On TCGplayer, the Near Mint Market Price sits at an all time high of $4,499.66 for the week of October 12, 2026. A year ago, the week of October 13, 2025, it was $2,617.85. My call is AVOID. Do not trade the meme, and do not buy a raw copy off any chart right now.
The $20,000 Chart Has No Raw Sale Behind It
I went through every raw sale on PriceCharting‘s log from October 10, 2025 to October 20, 2026, eBay and TCGplayer together. Nothing comes close to $20,000. The top is $5,250 on October 1, then $5,100 on October 9, 2026. On TCGplayer itself the best Near Mint sale in a year was $5,000, the week of July 27, 2026.
So where does a number over $20K come from? The slab. As of October 21, 2026, PSA 10 copies of this card were listed on Fanatics Collect at $21,000, $22,000 and $24,800. Those are asking prices on graded cards, not sales, and not raw. Put a slab ask on a raw chart and you get a meme.
The love birds are one of the most famous cards of the Tag Team GX era, so a scary chart spreads fast. That is exactly when a buyer overpays.
The $3,500 Number Is Two Markets Blended Into One
The comfort number going around with the meme says a raw copy is about $3,500. No tape I can find prints that price. Raw Latias & Latios GX copies trade in two tiers, and $3,500 sits in the empty space between them.
Copies listed Near Mint, or listed with no flaw named, sold for $3,008.36 to $5,250 on eBay from October 1 to 10, 2026. Copies listed played sold for $1,317.41 (heavily played, October 20) to $2,150 (lightly to moderately played, October 11). Put all 13 October eBay sales together and the median is $2,350. That middle number describes nobody’s card…
On TCGplayer the last six Near Mint sales ran $3,899 to $5,000, from the week of April 27 to the week of August 24, 2026. The median of those six is $4,599.99. If you own a clean copy, $3,500 undersells it. If you own a played copy, it flatters it.

How much is a raw Latias Latios GX alt art worth right now?
Raw copies listed Near Mint sold for $3,008.36 to $5,250 on eBay in October 2026, and TCGplayer’s screen reads $4,499.66 as of October 21. Copies listed played sold for $1,317.41 to $2,150. Condition decides which number is yours, not a chart.
Here is what the free price pages are not telling you. PriceCharting’s ungraded value read $2,254.59 on October 21, 2026, down $445.41. That figure matches to the cent an October 11 eBay sale titled “Latias & Latios GX 105/095”, which is the wrong card number. One misfiled sale is moving the headline number on this card, and played copies are dragging the rest. That is how a card at an all time high on TCGplayer can look like it is falling.
The TCGplayer screen has its own problem. It moved from $3,132.98 (week of September 28) to $4,499.66 (week of October 12, 2026) with zero Near Mint sales on TCGplayer in those weeks. Only 13 Near Mint copies sold there in the past year. We said in October that this card sold too rarely on TCGplayer to trust a raw price, in our Tag Team GX buying guide, and that still stands.
A Raw Copy at the Screen Costs More Than a PSA 8 Slab
This is the part that makes me stay away. At $4,499.66, a raw Near Mint copy costs more than a PSA 8. PriceCharting puts the PSA 8 value at $3,928.26, and PSA 8 copies sold on eBay for $3,950 and $4,150 on September 21, $4,000 on September 30 and $4,450 on October 2, 2026.
The PSA 9 value is $5,149.31 on PriceCharting as of October 21, 2026. So the raw screen price already assumes your copy grades an 8 or a 9. Nobody has looked at that card under a light yet. You are paying for a grade before you have it.
There is also the fake and trimmed copy risk on a raw card this expensive. Buy raw only in hand or with clear photos, and from a seller with a track record.
The PSA 10 Is Where Latias & Latios GX Really Trades
The slab is the liquid version of this card. Card Ladder shows 48 PSA 10 sales from July 21 to October 21, 2026, averaging $15,070, with the last at $15,100 on October 15. That is 48 graded sales in three months against 13 raw Near Mint sales on TCGplayer in a year.
The PSA 10 is not $20,000 either. Its three month high on Card Ladder is $17,080 and the low is $13,260. It is down 7.11 percent over that window, with a PSA 10 population of 2,575. That is a dip, not a crash, and it is not a buy signal from me today.
If you already own a clean raw copy, hold it. This card has gone from $463.04 on TCGplayer in April 2023 to $4,499.66 now. I am not selling that kind of name into a meme.
Would you pay a PSA 9 price for an ungraded Latias & Latios, or would you take the PSA 8 slab for less? Tell me which one and why.

Latias and Latios Raw Is an AVOID Until Copies Trade at $3,500
My position is AVOID on buying a raw Latias & Latios 170/181 Alternate Full Art right now, whether the chart says $20,000 or the screen says $4,499.66. No raw crash exists and no $20,000 raw sale exists. The risk in buying raw today is paying a PSA 8 to 9 price for an ungraded card on a screen with no Near Mint sale under it since August. Owners, hold. This is a months call, not a forever call.
The trigger that lifts the AVOID is two TCGplayer Near Mint sales in the same month at or under $3,500. That would put a clean copy under the PSA 8 price, with real trade behind it. Until then I am leaving it alone raw. Send me the chart if it lands in your feed on our Facebook page.
