The Delta Reign booster box price did something different from what the early chatter said this weekend. It did not climb. Mega Evolution: Delta Reign released Friday, November 6, 2026, and the Booster Box reads $212.62 on TCGplayer on November 7. That is down 18.6 percent from $261.10 on October 8.
Here is my position up front. MSRP is the only buy on a 2026 set, and the MSRP on this box is $161.64. At $212.62 you are paying $50.98 for the privilege of opening it this weekend. I would not, and four straight Mega era boxes tell me patience pays.
The $236 Box Price Going Around Is Stale
Some price trackers still show the box at about $236 and climbing. TCGplayer’s own daily readings put the box at $236.93 on October 24 and $235.91 on October 25, so that number is two weeks old. On November 5 the box read $223.02 on 185 sales, and on release day it read $216.64 on 694 sales.
The weekly closes tell the same story. The box opened presales at $322.64 in the week of August 17 on 15 sales. It closed the week of October 26 at $228.79 and release week, the week of November 2, at $211.75 on 1,487 sales. That is down 34.1 percent from the first presale week to today, and it never had a single up week after September.
Everything in the Set Fell in the Same 48 Hours
The line going around says sealed went up while singles went down. On TCGplayer, everything went down. The box went $223.02 to $216.64 from November 5 to November 6. The Booster Bundle went $54.71 to $42.85, down 21.7 percent, and the Booster Pack slid from $8.34 to $7.61 by November 7.
The chase card fell hardest. Mega Rayquaza ex 138/103 SIR read $397.94 on November 4 and $314.12 on November 7, down 21.1 percent in three days. Aarune 139/103 SIR sat at $12.88 on release day. When the cards inside a box fall, the box follows, because the box is only worth what opening it pays.
Our blister call from this week is already playing out the same way. The Single Pack Blister [Spritzee] read $18.46 on TCGplayer on November 4, when we called every Delta Reign blister an AVOID online above list. It reads $13.24 on November 7, down 28.3 percent in three days. Release week is when the whole set gets repriced at once, and the repricing so far has gone one way.

Pack Math: The Box Is the Cheapest Way In, and Still Too Much
If you are buying packs online this weekend, the box wins the math. At $212.62 a box works out to $5.91 a pack. Thirty six loose packs at $7.61 cost $273.96, and the bundle’s six packs at $43.46 come to $7.24 each.
That does not make the Delta Reign booster box price a good one. At retail, every one of those packs costs $4.49, which is exactly how $161.64 is built. The box is the least bad online option, and least bad is not a buy.

Where does a Delta Reign box go after release month?
Down, if the last four Mega era sets are a guide. I lined up the weekly TCGplayer Market closes for each booster box from its release week to the week of November 2, 2026. The closest comp is the last November release, Phantasmal Flames. Its box closed release week, the week of November 10, 2025, at $308.38 on 1,019 sales. Four weeks later, the week of December 8, it closed at $212.33, down 31.1 percent.
The 2026 sets ran the same play, slower. The Perfect Order box went $212.40 in release week (March 23) to $172.47 now, down 18.8 percent. Chaos Rising‘s box went $236.65 (week of May 18) to $182.64, down 22.8 percent. Pitch Black‘s box went $212.42 (week of July 13) to $175.29, down 17.5 percent, and that is its low.
Here is the part nobody is printing: none of those three 2026 boxes ever closed at or under $161.64. Their lows sat 5.1 to 8.4 percent above it, at $169.94, $174.99 and $175.29. So I expect the Delta Reign booster box price to keep sliding through the holidays and land in the $170s by spring. That is the honest risk in my call, and I will come back to it.
Holiday Buyers Are Pricing the Opening
November is when gift buyers price a box, and release weekend is when openers pay the most for the rip. Both of those are demand for the opening, not for the box as an asset. Buyers paid $322.64 in August and $261.10 in October for a box that sells for $212.62 today.
Sealed over singles still holds for me. A sealed box keeps every one of its 36 chances, and a single only keeps its own price. But a sealed 2026 box bought at $212.62 has to gain $50.98 before you are even with the buyer who paid $161.64 at the shelf.
Release week volume tells you who is buying. TCGplayer logged 1,487 box sales in the week of November 2, nearly double the 759 of the week before. Openers buy boxes to rip them, and every box opened is one that never comes back to market sealed. That is the long case for sealed, and it is why I like this box at $161.64. It is not a reason to pay the Delta Reign booster box price of release weekend.

The risk is real: no 2026 box has done it yet, and Phantasmal Flames climbed from $212.33 to $386.62 after its month one bottom.
