Vintage Pokemon Cards Under $60 Surge Up to 48 Percent: The One Holo I Am Buying

Suicune 19-132 Secret Wonders, Heracross 7-101 EX Hidden Legends and Unown A EX Unseen Forces holo Pokemon cards

Vintage Pokemon cards under $60 checked on real sales: I am buying one Suicune 19 Secret Wonders holo at $60. Heracross and Unown A wait.

THREE OLD HOLOS ON OUR BUY LIST, CHECKED SALE BY SALE: BUY SUICUNE 19, WAIT ON HERACROSS AND UNOWN A

TL;DR: Three vintage Pokemon cards under $60 hit our BUY signals together. Only the Secret Wonders Suicune 19 has steady Near Mint buyers, up 48.4 percent in 90 days to $61.70. My call: BUY one gradable copy at $60 or less, WAIT on Heracross 7 and Unown A. Prices observed November 1, 2026.

The Numbers Behind the Three Holos

  • Suicune, Secret Wonders 19/132 holo, raw Near Mint: $61.70 TCGplayer Market Price on November 1, 2026, up from $41.58 on August 4, on 10 Near Mint sales in 90 days at a $78.99 median.
  • Suicune 19 graded: PSA 9 copies sold on eBay for $325.00 on July 23 and $1,805.48 to $2,300.00 from October 14 to 23, 2026, per PriceCharting.
  • Heracross, EX Hidden Legends 7/101 holo, raw Near Mint: $54.76 TCGplayer weekly Market in the week of October 26, 2026, up 1.7 percent from the week of September 28, with no Near Mint sale since mid September.
  • Unown A, EX Unseen Forces A/28 holo, raw Near Mint: $53.49 TCGplayer weekly Market in the week of October 26, 2026, up from $36.81 in the week of August 3, on one Near Mint sale in 90 days.
  • PSA Value tier: $39.99 per card, reopened October 29, 2026.

Three vintage Pokemon cards under $60 landed on our BUY signals list in the same update, on October 29, 2026. The page has the Secret Wonders Suicune at number 33, an EX Hidden Legends Heracross at 39 and an EX Unseen Forces Unown A at 42. All three are up 11 to 15 percent in 30 days per the page, and Suicune and Unown A are up about 45 percent in 90.

Out of print is where the money goes while new sets slide, and cheap holos are the door into it. These cards came out from 2004 to 2007, and each still reads under about $62 raw. That is the pitch, and I agree with it.

But a signals page does not tell you who is buying. So I pulled every Near Mint sale on TCGplayer for all three over 90 days, checked eBay through PriceCharting, and matched every card number. One of these holos has real buyers. Two do not, at least not yet.

Suicune 19 Is the Lead, With 10 Near Mint Sales

This is the Secret Wonders 19/132 Suicune, the Level 44 holo from November 2007. TCGplayer sells a reverse holo of the same card as a separate listing, and PriceCharting tracks a cracked ice version on its own page. Buy the standard holo and check the listing name.

Near Mint holo copies sold 10 times on TCGplayer from late August to November 1, 2026, on nine different days. That is the most of the three by a distance. The Near Mint Market went from $41.58 on August 4 to $61.70 on November 1, up 48.4 percent, and from $55.36 on October 3, up 11.5 percent.

The sales sit above the Market, not below it. The 10 sales have a median of $78.99, and the six since October 11 ran $79.99, $57.90, $57.91, $77.98, $77.00 and $83.69, the last one on November 1. Our page showed $60.32, which was TCGplayer’s October 26 Market. Two buyers paid under $58 in October; most paid near $80.

The PSA 9 Run Is Why Clean Copies Sell

Here is the part the price chart does not show. Graded Suicune 19 took off first. On eBay, PSA 9 copies sold for $325.00 on July 23, $600.00 on August 8, $1,250.00 on September 13, $2,250.00 and $2,300.00 on October 14 and $1,805.48 on October 23, per PriceCharting. The last PSA 10 sale it lists is $610.00, from June 19, 2025.

When a 9 sells for more than the last 10, collectors go hunting for raw copies clean enough to send in. That is who is paying $78 to $84 for Near Mint on TCGplayer. And that is the split on eBay, where about 30 Suicune 19 copies sold from October 9 to November 1 at a median near $20.00, mostly played or with no condition named. PriceCharting’s ungraded value read $20.00 on November 1. A clean one is the scarce thing.

The grading math is simple at my price. A copy at $60.00 plus PSA’s $39.99 Value tier is $99.99 before shipping. PSA 8 copies sold for $75.00 to $125.32 in 2026 and a PSA 7 sold for $130.00 on September 2. That roughly covers the cost.

The 9 is the upside, and I would not pay those 9 prices for a slab. A 9 above the last 10 is a run, not a floor.

Heracross 7 Is a Real Price That Stopped Selling

The EX Hidden Legends Heracross 7/101 is the 2004 holo. Its weekly Near Mint Market of $54.76 in the week of October 26, 2026 matches our page to the cent. The moves do not. On TCGplayer’s weekly closes it is up 1.7 percent from $53.82 in the week of September 28 and 9.0 percent from $50.26 in the week of August 3, not the 13.1 and 24 percent on the page.

Heracross 7-101 EX Hidden Legends holo Pokemon card

The big move is a year old. Heracross read $16.70 in the week of November 3, 2025, and Near Mint copies sold for $15.70 to $21.20 from November to January. By April and May they sold for $49.99 to $51.06. Five more sold from late August to mid September at $54.00 to $60.31, a $55.00 median. None has sold since.

Its graded copies ran too: PSA 9 sales went from $97.00 on September 21 to $399.99 on October 8, and one PSA 10 sold for $4,000.00 on October 3, per PriceCharting. So the graded story that lifts Suicune is here too. What is missing is the raw buyer.

Among vintage Pokemon cards under $60, Heracross is the one I would most like to own at the right price, because its sales from August and September cluster tightly between $54.00 and $60.31. But a price with no fresh sale behind it is a guess. Twenty eight copies were listed on November 1, the cheapest at $22.15 in any condition, and Lightly Played holo copies read $27.84 on TCGplayer. If a Near Mint copy sells at $54.76 or better, the September level holds and I will look again.

Are vintage Pokemon cards under $60 worth buying right now?

The ones with buyers are. As of November 1, 2026, Suicune 19 rose on 10 Near Mint TCGplayer sales and a graded run you can see sale by sale. Heracross 7 has a real price but no Near Mint sale in six weeks, and Unown A moved on one sale. The screen is ahead of the buyers on two of the three.

That fits what we found in the vintage promo cards we checked on October 31: the old cards with real sales behind the move were the buys, and the ones that moved on a single sale were waits. The same test splits these holos. Old cards with real buyers keep climbing. Old cards with one buyer just look like they are.

Unown A Moved on One Sale

Unown A is the A/28 holo from the 28 card Unown run in 2005’s EX Unseen Forces. Its weekly Near Mint Market went from $36.81 in the week of August 3 to $53.49 in the week of October 26, 2026. That reproduces the page’s 45 percent.

The sales do not back it. One Near Mint copy sold on TCGplayer in those 90 days, for $58.99 in the week of October 19. The jump from $36.81 to $47.99 in the week of August 31 came with no Near Mint sale at all. Fifteen copies were listed on November 1, the cheapest at $15.00 in any condition.

Unown A EX Unseen Forces holo Pokemon card

There is demand on eBay. Unown A copies sold for $70.00 on October 20, $45.00 on October 28 and $65.99 on October 31 for one listed as Near Mint, per PriceCharting. Watch the letter when you read that page, because sales of other Unown letters show up in its table. Only one of those eBay copies was sold as Near Mint. One sale on each site is not a market.

The 12 month tape tells the same story. Eight Near Mint Unown A copies sold on TCGplayer in the year to November 1, 2026, from $28.55 last December to the $58.99 in October. The 28 card Unown run has its collectors, and finishing a set is a real reason to buy. But I will not pay the Market for a card that has sold once in three months.

How I Am Buying the Suicune

One clean copy. That is it. This is a side bet next to sealed, not a replacement for it.

I want it at $60.00 or less. That is just under the $61.70 Market, above the two $57.90 and $57.91 sales of October 22, and well under the $77.49 median of the last six sales. Of the vintage Pokemon cards under $60 on our list, it is the only one where a Near Mint buy at the Market sits under what most buyers paid.

Ask for photos of all four corners, the edges and the back. A 2007 holo scratches, and the gap between Near Mint at about $78 and played copies at about $20 is the whole trade. A played copy will not grade, and it will not resell at the Near Mint price either.

I expect vintage Pokemon cards under $60 to keep pulling buyers into the holidays, because a card under $60 is an easy gift. That is my read, not a number. Buy the one with the sales and let the other two prove it.

Are you grabbing the Suicune at $60, or betting the Unown A gets its second buyer first? Tell me in the comments what you paid.

I Am Buying One Suicune 19 and Waiting on Heracross and Unown A

My call is BUY one gradable Near Mint Suicune 19/132 Secret Wonders holo at $60.00 or less. A TCGplayer Near Mint Market under $55.36, its October 3 level, or a PSA 9 sale under $1,000 turns it to WAIT, because that would mean the graded run behind the raw demand is fading. This is a two year plus hold, and sealed stays the core.

WAIT on Heracross 7 until a Near Mint copy sells on TCGplayer at $54.76 or more, and on Unown A until two more sell at $53.49 or more. The risk on the buy is that a few graded buyers built this move, and they can stop. I will post the next Near Mint sale on all three on our Facebook page.
