Grading math

A PSA 10 sells for 439.2x the raw price. A PSA 9 sells for $5,868.04, 22.4x raw.

Even a PSA 9 ($5,868.04) sells for more than a raw copy plus $599 to grade it (PSA Premier, for cards valued up to $10,000) ($860.81 total), so grading pays if your copy is clean enough for a 9; a PSA 10 is upside on top. Most raw copies grade lower than a 9, so check condition first. This is a rough guide, not a guarantee.
